Rear brake pipes

My dCi 100 just failed its MOT on the rear flexi part of the rear axle brake pipes being corroded ASF!

I know that Renault used to sell these but can't seem to find them anywhere! I have a spare dCi 100 which I'm currently pulling apart for spares (for just this such an occasion), they're the same lines as the 172/182 and I was thinking I'll want new lines on my 172 too as they're not the best.

Anyone know where these can be bought or shall I just make my own out of copper and use braided flexi's (next to the caliper) with some 10mm flared fittings etc? This would then get rid of that rubber flexi and I know they won't rot again.

Any ideas and past experiences are appreciated :)

They're getting harder to get hold of mate. I've got them before from France for people who couldn't get them in UK and had to wait around 10 days. I'm currently waiting for some to land for another lad having same issue, when they land I'll see if they have any more or an ETA. Remind me Kyle!

Some of the part numbers for the lines from Renault are now superseding to the drum of copper brake pipe

Ignore the old shocks, I made some up and p cliped them to the axle, these route into into the boot for inside but it would work the same way

I’ve got the set of these braided lines to fit to my 172, as mines also needs the over axle brake pipes replaced;

https://www.prolinemotorsport.co.uk/product-page/clio-172-182-6-line-kits

The same company also sell them on eBay and normally sell the rear over axle braided hoses on their own (if you just needed them alone), but couldn’t find a listing for them currently.

Oh aye yeah it’s Mitch Plowman that does them ain’t it?

Looks like a very good piece of kit, might have to invest. Cheers for that mate :)

Yeah the seem decent quality stuff from having looked at them, they’ve still to be fitted so can’t comment on that aspect yet.

If you are thinking of buy a set, I found their eBay store cheaper than the website and if you’re buying a full set of 6, buy the over axle lines and 4 other lines in the separate eBay listing as it saves £10 over the listed price for the 6 line kit form their website.

I'm going through the same now. I've ordered a pair of proline rears slightly longer to go from the bias valve to the calipers for a cup. I can update with pictures once they arrive.

@dCi_rep I have a set of braided lines i am going to be selling. Front braided lines and also rear braided lines.........Rears go from where the hardline terminates at the back of the car before the axle to the caliper

The ones that come from each rear caliper and connect to the main line

Those are custom ones I made that route into the boot. You could do exactly this tbf to length which would work, the only thing is the male end that would connect to the old lines is fixed, but it would be fine as im sure you could do up the the new line to the flexi line first then do up the lines from the front after, so that the swivel fitting to the caliper wouldnt face the wrong way up!
