Rear Brakes

  PH1 172
Fitted my new wheels last night pro race 1.2s 15" 7J ET38 to replace my standard OZ wheels 15" 7J ET42

Took the car out for a trip round the block to check everything was ok and it was but today after doing a motorway trip my rear brakes are making a juddering sound when I apply at 10mph. Have checked both wheels and bolts plus I have had a look to see if I had caught anything but nothing can be seen.

Brakes work fine but just one/both rear brake/s I can hear judder within the car when breaking at 10mph or less to come to a complete stop.

Any ideas?

Odd problem, sounds daft but have you made sure the wheel bolts are all on tight?? Also check the rear discs for cracks and make sure the pads are seated correctly with the pin and slider.

Yeah bolts are all on tight as I had the wheel off again to check the disc and pad and can't see anything wrong. Only seems to do it when the speed is 10mph or less and the harder to break the louder the juddering noise is. There is nothing on the pad or the disc and it only does it when I am on the brakes at 10mph or less but doesn't do it at that speed if I am just rolling.

spin the disc with the wheel off and see if it runs smooth. If you have a dial gauge you could check the runout on it i.e. if it running square (parallel to the pads)
odviously with the handbreak off!

Update:

Doesn't matter what speed I brake at now. Well now the noise happens whatever speed I am going when I break. If I break at motorway speeds then it is like a grinding noise but as the speed gets lower the noise becomes more intermittent if you know what I mean....

Haven't got round to doing what mark989 has suggested but when I get round to it, what else should I check?

As soon as I get time that is during daylight lol I will get some pics for you mate :)

i had a vibrating type noise from the rear brakes for a while, 3 weeks later a big crack appeared!
check for any signs of cracks.
are there any signs of heat marks on the disc's? (blue circles around the disc etc)
