Rear Calipers Knackered!!

Car got MOTed today. failed on the rear brakes only working at 20%.

pal tried to clean the calipers to at least get it through the MOT but couldnt. Pretty gutted to be honest!

has anyone else needed to get new rear calipers? where is the best place to get them? ie the cheapest!

Are the calipers definatly faulty or is it not something to do with this ?

Your local gsfcarparts.com will supply you with replacement calipers and probably offer you a discount for exchange

There is nothing wrong with the rear calipers.

Suggest doing a search.

Print out that pdf posted, and ask why the testers dont read important updates/newsletters!

it was a renault dealer who run the test. my pal was at the calipers an hour cleaning them and in the end, the testers foot was firnly on the ground and the wheel could still turn.

its def the calipers. pretty raging they are done after only 40k miles. so, where is the cheapest place for calipers?

Its almost guaranteed to be the bias adjuster as its such a frequent 'problem'
I'll be amazed if the rear calipers are faulty

yep! read the VOSA document, we get it all the time when we MOT cups!

i highly highly highlu doubt wrong with your rear calipers!!! tell the MOT place to sit 3 people in the back when the test the rear brakes

lol, i can not believe this still goes on, contsct VOSA mate and put a complaint in, claim petrol and wasted costs back from Renault and never go there again.

With mine jacked up, with the footbrake depressed, i can just about turn them by hand, nothing wrong with them at all.

Same as what fred says. sat some people in the car and it will pass this comes up every few weeks on here
