rear discs

got a 1.6 mk2 facelift, got drums on the rear, ive heard rumours that puttn on rear discs would f**k it all up. that true? also, can any1 suggest good brakes to get, wana upgrade mine. cheers

not exactly f**k it up, but a fair amt of work to get them working properly. never worked on a car with rear discs, but could imagine you would need the hubs, discs(!), calipers, pads, and then a bias valve installed. hope i havent missed anything out.

upgrading - assume you mean front? what do you want, bigger or just better? http://www.k-tecracing.comhttp://www.k-tecracing.com show lots of goodies, can do straight swap for discs same diameter (and vented if yours are too), if you wanna go bigger will need new calipers, bolts, etc. i.e. a big brake kit.

I know on the Mk1, you might aswell get the 16v/Williams Axle.. and swap it over - that way you get the lot and the 4 torsion bar setup.

Dunno if you can do it with a Mk2 tho?
