Rear Discs

  Clio 182+ Cup pack
Whats crack with rear discs on 182? Been told the wheel bearing is held in with the rear disc or something? What they like skill wise for replacing?

Yeah the rear bearing is actually in the disc as opposed to conventionally in the hub (don't ask).

Replacing them is a piss case if you know what you're doing with spanners - just remember and put the thrush washer (washer behind the disc) back on the right way.

It's easier to buy new rear discs with the bearings pressed in too, Renault is your best bet, or G172 on here

£90 of eBay for a pair of genuine Renault discs complete with bearing and ABS ring.

Piece of pisch to fit, but you do need a big socket (sorry cant remember what size) to undo the axle nut.

I would avoid e bay discs if I were you

I couldn't be bothered to do it myself so took the discs to a mate of mine to fix

Thanks a lot everyone... What are the front ones like to change? Are they just like a regular disc fitting?

Sound cheers everyone... Do you guys have any idea why my steering wheel after been tracked up and straight returns to 'a few minutes to the hour or past' or 'on the ****'?

I've had it done at 3 different places now and its starting to get boring... Also I've just had new tyres and track rod ends fitted before the realignment.... Can anyone recommend anywhere in the south yorks area?
