Rear Number plate light not working

It worked before I cleaned iy all up with WD40 and contact cleaner. It's very corroded. But it's cleaner that it was. Which fuse is for rear number plate light as that might have blown?

Any help appreciated, tried new bulb too

I had same. Went to Adam in Renault Wolverhampton and it cost me a grand total of £6 including bulb...cheaper than a scrappy! :approve:

Isn't it powered off the rear lights? Have you got a multi-meter?

If you have unplug the light holder and put the multimeter into the plug.

I blew my fuse and no lights on passenger side worked (no sidelight etc), so it's passenger side fuse I think.

I just bought a new plastic surround and it's fine I tried to clean my old one up but I ended up snapping a prong

Well the unit is very corroded but it is getting power. Cleaned it up but if it doesn't work ill just buy another unit

Mine was getting power too, but none for bulb for some reason!
