Rear quarter speakers

  BMW M135i
Pretty sure its achievable with spacers, just knock some up from some mdf or whatever you like. Might have trouble getting the grill back on though.

Thanks for the replies. If I use spacers and or enlarge the hole the speakers will be too proud to even get the seats back down let alone putting the grille back on! I had considered removing the panels and installing the speakers behind using a 6 inch to 5 inch mdf ring. Anyone tried it this way?

Thanks for the reply. I gave up on that idea as the speakers were 6.5 inch Denon subs and were too deep (They have a huge magnet). I finally managed to get hold of a pair of 5.25 inch Focal Subs instead. They work just fine, but need a bigger amp than the current Genesis SM60. Guess I'll have to pull my finger out and put one of my Nakamichi PA301 monoblocks in!!

hi there just looking at you post, i got a 2002 clio with rear fitted speakers but wish to upgrade them. But how do the rear quarter grill come off? do you just pop it out? or do you have to remove the whole rear panel, ive tryed pulling on the grill, but it just seems like its fixed in with the whole panel, and i dont want to break it??

cheers

Lift up the rear seat bottom and then pull teh grill, it just pops off.

And yes, 6.5" in the back are pointless but it cost me nothing and saved some speakers going to waste!
