Rear registration plate light

I couldn't find any forums on here about which type of bulb i would need for the bulb that lights up the rear registration plate. Any ideas? also if you could, can you suggest where i would get a nice bright one?

It's a 245 and an led will be bright.

Just bought one of these too had to get a new holder aswell as mine had a case of the green stuff!

Mine was corroded in my black ph1, I tried to swap it but the pins had snapped, so I gave up .. looked much better at night

It's a terrible design - they all go green and minging unless you silicone up a new one.
