Rear Seat Belts Won't Lock, Help!

My rear seat belts on my 172, won't lock into place and hold in place, anyone got any ideas? have absolutely no idea why and never come across this before!

Assume someones just forced them and broke the springs which hold them locked :S

have you got any warning light on the dash lit?

nope, fronts are fine though. only had the car 8 weeks so dont know if they ever worked, do they have pretensioners on the rears too? anyone know?

yes they do. Is it all three that wont work or just the centre one?

All three oddly enough! they go in but dont clip shut, seems really odd that none of them work, wonder if theyve been replaced at some point.

If the tensioners have been pulled, I thought they would still lock, maybe not?

i had the same problem rear seatbelt had rusted quick trip down to the scrapyard and £10 later prob sorted. its the things you plug the seatbelts into tht are the problem. or they cud of been forced in which has caused something to bend inside. will still need replacin tho.

Thank you! guess my seats looking like theyve not been sat in, has caused them not to work then.. off to the scrappy tmrw i feel..
