Rear seatbelt locked up, will it pass MOT?

Car  Arctic 182FF
Since a collision with a curb in March, the back nearside seatbelt has been jammed. Firstly I'd like to know if it will fail an MOT because of this as it is due next month. I will be attempting to fix it either way but just want to know how urgently this needs to be done.
Secondly, from an ebay search it seems that there are two types of seatbelt for these clios, a pre-tensioner and non-pre-tensioner type. Is there any way of telling which one I will need without taking out the interior trim and having a look?
Thanks

Check with your MOT tester, but if you take the rear seats out they may not test the seatbelts.

If you remove them you have to remove seats and belts to pass.

All belts are tested so will need to be fixed or removed. I can't help with the pre tensioner question I'm afraid.

Yes dude, will be a fail..... VOSA are strict on seat belt's. Might be worth removiong the belt, standing the Inertia part up nice & level, and see if you can & unlock it.
Was somebody wearing that one at the time?

Thanks for the quick replies. No-one was in that seat at the time no, it was just me driving with no passengers. I may have to try to get at the seatbelt tomorrow and have a look at what I can do with it

Rules are if you have Seatbelts they have to be in working order, also if you have seats fitted you have to have Seatbelts and if you have Seatbelts you have to have seats fitted.. So you can't just remove one, has to be all or nothing. Then you have to put the light out..

Ok, will put this near the top of my list of things to do then. I intend to replace the seatbelt. I assume the light is the combination of service&airbag lights? Since they're the only ones that came up, although that was most likely due to the passenger seat airbag going off during the same collision.

Yes mate the SERV light and the airbag light should be illuminated.. If the airbag has triggered then you need the Airbag ECU, reset. Might even have to replace it, I'm unsure, do a search or someone might be able to clarify..

I know how to get the lights to turn off, that's all in hand. I'll just have to find out what I need to do to get this seatbelt working again. I assume it's simply a case of replacing the seatbelt and pretensioner if it is a pretensioner one?
