Rear seats?

  Titanium 182
How do I remove the top part of the rear seats ? I have removed the bottom half (the bits you sit on) by pulling the back up and lifting them forwards until they "unhook" but the top bits that fold down wont seem to pull out :S ?

They lift out at each side but its like there stuck in the middle, theres a little black bracket bolting them together in the middle but I can't see it bolting them to the car in any way ?

help ! :)

They should loosen if you undo them as you'd expect (anti-clockwise) the isofix bar should then lift out and up. They do tend to feel like they're getting tighter until you've done quite a few turns.

Then there's two Torx screws. You'll need to completely remove one, but the other one you can loosen and the plates will slide out from under them. I also undid the two nuts that attach the two halves of the seat together, but they're a bit hard to get at and I'm not sure if it's necessary to do that anyway.

Once you've done that the seats should unclip at either end and can be removed.

Hope that all makes sense :)

Makes perfect sense :) I might go have another crack at it in a second !

One question though, are they easy to "coax" back in after you have taken them out ? I'm not going to make my car unsafe when I put them back in am I ? :O

First time I tried it I couldn't do it.. then I bought the right tools (a torx screwdriver) and it took me 20mins!

Plenty of people have done it dude, as long as you tighten the bolts up to as they are now then they'll be fine. :approve:
