REAR WHEEL BEARINGS 16V





ANY IDEAS HOW HARD THE REAR WHEEL BEARINGS ON A PHASE 1 16V ARE TO CHANGE, AND ANYONE ANY TIPS COS ONE OF MINES JUST ABOUT TO GIVE IN.

I think theyre a bit fiddly, when you but the new one in you need to get it dead square or youll bugger it up, id go to a garage.
 


I did the rear bearings on mine recently, not really a bad job at all. The only problem is getting the bearings in and out of the hub, really need a press. Getting the hubs out is a piece of piss though, so you could do that and then take the hubs and new bearing to a garage with a hydraulic press. Was anxious about doing them myself but found it one od the easier task on a valver. If you do them yourself and have any problems, let us know, took some pics when I did them myself, which I was going to post but they aint the best quality.

CHEERS IVE BEEN TO A MATE OF MY DADS WHOS GOT A GARAGE HE SAID I GET TH BEARINGS £20 TO FIT THEM BOTH, SO ANY IDEAS OF CHEAP QUALITY BEARINGS.
