Rear Wiper Problem

I noticed this morning that when im driving my rear wiper is going all the time, i checked the the stalk and it was off!??

I parked up and it stopped, i started reversing into a space and it started again!!

Any ideas why it's doing this??

it's got a smart wiper system meant to know when there might be water on ur rear window. Does anyone know if i will fail my MOT for a split rear wiper?

can i swith the automatic bit off just for the rear??

naa you have to switch off the whole auto system im not sure tho depend how adventurous u wanna be with the electrics

smart rear wiper in my car (ph1 172) only works when the car is in reverse, i thought it was the same for all clios?

When I use the wash on my rear wiper, sometimes the screenwash comes out ok but the wiper doesn't move for a minute or two, then it will go continuously as if it was clearing the screen normally.

Could it be sticking somewhere or what can I check? :S

make sure ur water cap for it is closed right as thats were most of the main problems start and its not that check the water line for it, think it runs up the left hand side of a right hand drive car

yeah but the contanor make sure its not filled to the top n the lid is closed tight, only thing i can think of is the feeder is going faulty:S

Stephen you're confusing the screenwash with the actual wiper mate

The wiper itself is pausing or sticking sometimes, then all of a sudden it's like a dog waggin its tail! :butt: lol
