Recaros and cup

  Trophy 265/500

Hi all, Im toying with a 182 cup with the tasty seats, as I find the standard fit ones a bit uncomfortable. The dealers have advised I dont have a prayer of getting a test drive in one, as they are only ever factory options. Ive actually still not had a blast in an actual cup (as opposed to a 182 with both packs)

Does anyone have a 182 cup with recaros and how would they compare the seats with standard/general trim and toys vs "cup packed" 182?

BTW, Im after recs for lightness and the fact Im on the tall side with a slightly dicey back. For comparison I currently have a C2 GT (Im into the light and cheap over expensive toys) which I find very comfortable, just not really gutsy or grippy enough to have 182 style serious fun in. Other half has a mildly pimped Mk II Golf GTI 16v which I also find fairly comfy if I keep journeys under 2 hours (ie pretty much anywhere in mainland UK the way it shifts!)

Please dont make me wait for the RS, itll be $$$ more.

Thanks in advance

Oh, another thing I forgot to ask, is it hard work taking the back seat/bench out and/or refitting? I intend for it to live in the shed until I sell/write off the orange mobile (going for Inferno, despite the extra kilo metallic will weigh ;) )

Cheers

I drove one with Recaros recently...if youre of even a slightly slim build Id suggest you go aftermarket (or at least sit in them first)...there was a lot of movement around the shoulders.

Thanks all, was hoping to avoid aftermarket due to insurance declaration hassle (and cost) but can prolly get something even lighter that way
