Reccomend LCD TV

I'm wanting a 42 inch LCD HD TV for around £600-650

Any reccomendations i've seen these couple preferably i want 1080p and built in freeview which I assume most TV's come with these days (built in freeview that is not 1080p):

I helped pick an LCD for a mate recently.

He went for the Samsung LE40A456C 4 series 40" LCD. Cost £480 from Dixons. It's 720p, but looks great tbh.

For an extra £80 (£560) you can get the 1080p version Samsung LE40A556P 5 series 40" LCD.

Best option is to view the TV in store. That's what we did before I ordered it for him online.

I'd be looking to get a slightly Newer Samsung than a 5 series as it's a touch dated now,

I know a month or so ago you could get an LG 42" 1080p 100Hz TV for about £600, I think it may have possibly been a 42LG7000 but don't hold me to that.

Dont waste your time and money on HD Ready you willsave in the short term but be gutted long term

Been buying lots of Sharp Aquos 46" for a little but more than your budget very nice LCD

Can do the Tosh cheaper than Play

Would not go for the LG

The newer samsungs are prob out of your price range

the lg6100 and 7000 's are great tv's
but you really need to see them all in a good shop first
