Recommend me an Exhaust

Right, last week some eejit drove into the back of me at a junction. Not much damage but my exhaust needs replacing as it's bent out of shape and now creaks every time I go over a bump.

The insurance are replacing it with a brand new standard system. This will be getting sold and I'll take the opportunity to replace it with a nice stainless steel cat back system.

I want something that sounds as close as possible to standard, but with a bit more balls when I'm giving the car some welly.

I've read on here that the Milltek systems are very highly rated and also about a new Scorpion system that's just out. Has anyone put this on their 182 yet?

The garage where I get my car serviced doesn't rate the Milltek systems too highly and they recommend Magnex. Anyone fitted one of these?

I'm looking to spend up to a maximum of £400 although £350 would be preferable. If anyone out there is looking for a standard 182 exhaust that's brand new, drop me a pm.

agreed. boomy, droney, horrible at any speed and pretty generic sounding. Quality could be a lot better too!

Pro Speed worth a look, Piper/GDI, Yozzasport, Orbisound (if your rich), Powerflow (if you dont mind taking advantage of the lifetime warranty)

Millteks can be had for £313 cat back , or with a decat for £346 . Then obviously you need postage on top .

there's a BTB exhaust in the for sale section, £350 I think, bargain

That BTB looks nice but is pick up only in Gloucester and I'm in Edinburgh unfortunately.

I'll get in touch with the guy on the fabrication thread to see what's happening there.
