recommend me some solid top mounts

so im on the look out for some solid top mounts.

i have gaz coilovers, iv have a look around and to me, ther doesnt seem to be much difference in which ones i go for? there all roughly priced the same and claim to be as good as each other.

whats peopes opinions im after some that allow adjustment!

I dont think theres a lot of difference between the kits. None can offer much in the way of camber and caster adjustment due to the small top mount design renault chose. Go with what looks nicest

I prefer the k-tec ones by a very small margin to the ASTs. Both are as good, but slightly different. Old Comp-brake are junk they simply didn't even come close to fitting, though i think they might be making the k-tec ones now, as i saw a set last week with comp-brake engraved, but were identical to the k-tec ones.


I couldn't in good conscience not tell you to save your money and put it towards a different set of coilovers though. You'll see a far bigger improvement in the car by fitting something with decenty damping.....ie, not GAZ

k-tec not bad, good quality it seems, I'm running them for a year now, but wish they had some adjustment

danny what do you mean by 'decenty damping' ? iv felt massive improvments with the gaz coilovers although i am going from standard so would do anyway. the car seems so flat through the corners its so point and go i love them ?

no the k-tec ones are fixed
you have coilies and probably built in camber adjustment, you can play with the caster using the AST ones, should be pretty cool to try different settings on a track day
danny probably recommended you should move to other coilies (other brand) since GAZ ones aren't top rated around here I've seen (reliability issues mostly). some guys love them though

not saying go for more expensive coilovers specifically. Just that GAZ are utterly terrible. I'd go for a set of Vmaxx over GAZ in the blink of an eye

for what reason danny ? the gaz coilovers i have feel just how i expected and thers so much adjustment on them i.e hard soft up down camber ect.....

yes the top rotates, you can adjust camber+caster

the combo of camber bolts plus ast mounts should give you about 3 degrees no problem
