Refitting standard exhaust..

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
want to put my standard exhaust back on. But when fitting my PECO backbox. the garage had to cut off my old exhaust, and bolt on the PECO.

Can i put my standard exhaust back on?... and how?..

yep you can give it to a (competent) garage and they will figure it out.
should be about £10 worth of sleeve and anywhere from half hour to an hour max labour

  LY 182
yeah - they will have cut the original backbox off so you are left with the 2 halfs of pipe of the same diameter.
so you buy a sleeve to fit over the 2 parts and join them together

  LY 182
yeah course you can.
you will need to measure the diameter of the pipe next to where its been cut and take that measurement to a motorfactors to get a sleeve.
if it was just a straight cut with none of the pipe actually cut out you may find you will need to shorten it a tad.
you may even find its been cut down too much so it would be worth bolting the old backbox back up in to place to see how it all matches up before you do it.

if you don't know what a 'sleeve' is then i dont think you will be able to refit an exhaust.

Just jacked up the car, and realised that the guys who fitted my new exhaust cut off too much of my standard exhaust, so its not an easy straight swap :(

dont know what to do now.

New centre section time.

You seem to be far too impulsive with your mods. I think you need to put a little more thought into these things which would most probably avoid issues such as this.

Yup i know this.

I know it is a bit late. but stopping the mods now. lol ... selling the car time.

well first you need to answer the question of how much too short it is.
then go from there. put the old box back on the car, bolt the mount up and look at what is missing.
if its just a straight section then easy you need a length of pipe of the same diameter and 2 sleeves to join it together.
if its a bent section its still doable just slightly more chalenging.
i dont mean to be funny but its one of those jobs that require no mechanical skill whatsoever nothing more than a bit of logic looking at it is needed.

Your going to be better just getting a cat back from a breakers. And sell yours on ebay or something.. Your selling it now? you were only asking me about 172 pedals a few days ago?

I have been planning to get a new car to replace this french s**t for a long time now, but have been postponing and then adding a few bits, etc etc... i know, its terrible.

You mean get a cat back to put the car back to standard??

You will probably have to source a replacement standard exhaust as it will be much easier than trying to bodge your old one back on.
