im gonna keep my standard rims for a while but have then refurbed in black, i got quoted 220 all in which i thought was quite good, has anyone done this before on a black mk3? there photoshopped on R3OBCs motor and i thought they would look better on a black one. what do u guys think?

i cant upload at the moment but any black dynamique wil do i think as long as people dont mind. ill have a look.

Fred did his himself with Hammerite - looked fine to me and probably cost less than a tenner!

yup - paint for metal - have a look at the front wheels in the pic above.
oh yeah that looks mint, i wouldnt trust myself to do it though, the bloke who got me the quote said the wheels wil be blasted and stripped then the paint will be baked back on. sounds good for 230.

well its 200 quid and it looks good to be honest and icant afford new rims so why not? i might get a 60mm drop too? will a 60mm drop affect the handling or performance?

do they give u replacment wheels while they are being done?
do they fix any curb marks whilst doing it? also did u have to drive up there or do u send your rims away?
where can i buy hammerite? do i need to remove the tyre or just mask the tyre?

you should be able to pick up any size Steels from scrappy, for next to nothing

no im sending em away for a proper bake in a nice hot oven, 220 all in, just looking for 2 spares. i still wouldnt mind some opinnions on whether or not i should do it. your all welcome and im open to suggestions.
It might be worth taking note that your wheels look smaller when in a dark colour (as im sure you know) so really i can only see it looking good on a car which is lowered a lot..
Nice to see it works on Freds car, might try the hammerite trick before getting them refurbed and painted next month.
