refurb dynamique rims black

im gonna keep my standard rims for a while but have then refurbed in black, i got quoted 220 all in which i thought was quite good, has anyone done this before on a black mk3? there photoshopped on R3OBCs motor and i thought they would look better on a black one. what do u guys think?

maybe, Get a decent quality pic an I will photoshop em black for you, the pics on the gallery are a little small.

in the media pics, and video section there is a post called "Oi Danny, do this.." as long as rob fenn doesnt mind we can use his piccy. cheers

oh yeah that looks mint, i wouldnt trust myself to do it though, the bloke who got me the quote said the wheels wil be blasted and stripped then the paint will be baked back on. sounds good for 230.

Well there is a hell of a difference in price and after seeing Freds wheels at Curborough last week you would never know they were painted with Hammerite ! Spot on job to be fair ! Depends how much money you have to burn I suppose !

well its 200 quid and it looks good to be honest and icant afford new rims so why not? i might get a 60mm drop too? will a 60mm drop affect the handling or performance?

Mate it looks the dogs b*llox def go for it!!

plus ur not changing your alloys, so not decrese in performance or trouble of the insurance, its all good

do they give u replacment wheels while they are being done?

do they fix any curb marks whilst doing it? also did u have to drive up there or do u send your rims away?

hmm like mk2col said, u might as well try urself, coz seeing as they blast the paint away anyways u aint got anything to lose even if u do mess up?! and if u dont then uve just saved urself 200 notes!!!!!

I used it on my vitara to paint my bull bars black & it worked quality!!

I spent time doing it to and it looked perfect :)

no im sending em away for a proper bake in a nice hot oven, 220 all in, just looking for 2 spares. i still wouldnt mind some opinnions on whether or not i should do it. your all welcome and im open to suggestions.

hmmm that looks like the southampton SR meet craigy :p hehe

I can vouch for craig, his car looks sooooo good with his super ts refurbed in gloss black!

It might be worth taking note that your wheels look smaller when in a dark colour (as im sure you know) so really i can only see it looking good on a car which is lowered a lot..

Nice to see it works on Freds car, might try the hammerite trick before getting them refurbed and painted next month.

Looks like were all getting black wheels!
