Bought some OZ F1s a few weeks as I was after a set of 15s for track use. I could have just put some decent tyres on but decided to have an attempt at refurbing them.
These were probably the worst two.
Trip to Halfords and I had the items needed for the refurb. Also used a file and wet & dry grades 60, 240 and 1200.
First wheel prep'd by hand ready for painting
Couple of coats of white primer applied
These are the worst wheels painted
And then after couple costs of laquer
Total cost = £45.63 for 2x Primer/Paint/Laquer + 240 grit as I already had other bits.
They're not 100% perfect as there's still some tiny imperfections but for my first go at refurbing wheels I'm really pleased with results
Got some R888s to wrap them in now as well
