Remap. DCP tuning. Has anyone used these guys?

Hello,

a friend of mine at work has arrange for 5 of us to get a remap. He's done all the negotiating and has got the price down to £150. i have a 1.2 tce and he says he i can expect 20-25 bhp increase.

Regardless of what gains i can expect i am more interested to see if anyone has used these guys?

if so are there any horror stories or compliments etc.....

First thing I would want to know is is it a chip, or a full custom map? As that is silly cheap for a custom map, and realistically it can take a good few hours to do a proper custom map, so id bet its a 'chip'


If its a chip, id want to know who is supplying it (ie superchips etc) or if its one they have developed them selfs id like to see some qualifications to show they have the capabilities to do so.

No because they would melt! The injectors are pretty much near 100% stock! You can push 25hp BUT it's much earlier in the revs as you need to pull back boost higher up to overcome the tiny injectors. I'd make sure you go somewhere for a dyno run with AFR's and log injector duty before and after the map, then you can go get the wasted £150 back

Custom map for £150 in 2 hours?

Best advise my friend - walk away.

Go see Paul at RS Tuning, he will get the best out of your motor and is worth every penny.

I kick myself bigtime if i c*cked up my little beast by giving it a cheap map.

Would getting my alloys powdercoated be a better way to spend the wonga?

Thats youir choice mate, if you think they will look better do it.

If you wish to go faster then brakes and suspension, then a proper remap
