Hi there,
I recently fitted a ktec/janspeed supersport exhaust on my Clio 182. Loving the sound but now I've got the taste for a bit more, I'm thinking an itg panel filter and remap? Anyone know of any good remaps?
I'm from the Cambridgeshire area, Iv heard things about tour de force? I think its around 299 plus the vat? But stone automotive do a map for 169? It's such a big difference in price and I can't work out why?
If it's just noise you're after then there are some options, but if you're after power then you're going to have to go a lot harder than just a panel & remap.
We're talking Cams / ITB's at a minimum, forced induction as a preference.
But, anyway, yeah, you could go to K-Tec for a map, for instance, and you might get a few hp more, but the £/hp ratio will be silly. Mind, if it's all about noise, there's a pop/bang remap about that makes an awful din and is particularly chavvy, but it does make a lot of noise.
Yer I noticed the big power is itbs but sadly I don't have a spare 1000 quid for it lol pop and bang looks decent but you have to go down the decat route? Exhaust is quite raspy as it is? I was more interested in getting rid of lumpy idle etc?
The airbox for the 172/182 is pretty much good enough, there are other options but they make almost all of no difference so yeah, get an ITG or K&N Panel.
you can also remove one of the feeds from the airbox for a bit more noise, the one coming off the right side of the airbox IIRC, it just pulls off
think id rather pay for someone else to do it? That way im also paying for there service and knowledge in the event of something going wrong? just gotta make my mind up what map i want
