Got some squirt that but bloody hell it's really low geared!! 50mph-ish at 7k in 2nd gear.. What does 3rd take it to? About 80?

Ben, just so you know, warranty will only cover the use of launch control 3 times in the warranty period - if anything breaks transmission wise, if it was due to trnasmission abuse, and the launch control has been used more than 3 times Warranty wont pay.

we can plug the computer in, and see how many times its been used, just to pre -warn you dude :)

what?
I thought that nonsense was only for the first series of the new nissan gtr ?
I don't even think s3 has a 'launch control' in that sense of a way?
I could be wrong :) Putting it in S and 'dumping' the brake is launch control?

Shouldn't fit something that if used will invalidate warranty, that's quite unfair. I see that as not fit for purpose.

Yea about 85mph. Gears are really short! Good job it changes in 0.001 seconds ha

Very impressive gearbox. Is it 7 speed? Would explain the short gears..

I'd love a dsg type gearbox in a car, would also only want it with a warranty. I can't afford new cars with warranties! :(

Very similar ratio's to the mps but that was its biggest pita for me specially being a manual. It just didnt need short ratio's being so torquey.

Admire the VAG's tuning capabilities, biggest attraction for me (along with that DSG box)

Nice car

Facepalm for Ben Price!

They should put that In the manual! Lol.

It's a 6 speed box, defo needs a 7th gear! I can see how it would be annoying with a manual!

Agree.. Mine only revs to 6.5k but it pulls 70 in 2nd and 100 in 3rd... I've not rung 4th out!!!

Mine's still standard at 250/260 and manages more than fine with the long gearing, makes it really lazy/effortless to drive.

Soon have 400lbft ! :-D

You put in S, switch off the TC/ASR/ whatever the VAG group car you have calls it, press the brake and load on the throttle - if you do this without putting it in s and turning off the TC, then it will try to creep forward and only rev up to about 3k ish, if you follow the steps above you are able to lauch at higher revs for a quicker start off - with FWD it doesn't make 'that' much of a difference, but with 4wd it's awesome

It is quite wrong Jamie you are right, I fully agree it should be more publicised than it is
