Firstly hope this is in the right section

I have a 2004 clio 182 which is having a full milltek exhaust fitted including decat next weekend,i was wondering would i get an extra gain with a remap on top or is it worth holding out for cams etc first ?

Sorry if sound dumb but new to the remap side of things lol

also who would anyone recommend close to newcastle upon tyne for the remap

Also after a cambelt done aswell in the next few months so hopefully again need someone pretty close to newcastle to sort this rather than going to the stealers

if your getting the cambelt done in the next few months you might as well get cams put in that if thats what your planning. Otherwise you will need a new belt when you fit cams.

Remap - I really rate the RS Tuner http://www.fastchip.nl/

Not sure if you have one near you but Longlife now do remapping, so if you have bought your Milltek system you could have them fit it and remap it at the same time?

If your gonna spend on cams get the remap at the same time make sure you don't get an off the shelf one as it needs to be mapped for your engines mods.

remap will give you extra gains but its fully realised if its done for your car and its mods if you have it mapped after an exhaust you'll realy need it mapping after cams to amke the most of them.

I live in the Newcastle area and there isnt much around, u will need to travel to get most things, get them posted and fit them yourself or get a decent garage to fit them, there is a Renault specialist somewhere, TW & S Barker.
Location is under the King Edward Bridge railway bridge arches next to Newcastle Arena, 0191 232 9532. Follow the route and you'll find it.
