remote key not working

ph1 172. one key lights up when you press the button but doesn't deactivate immobilizer, other key doesn't light up but does start the car. It was flood damaged but all other electrics work just not the remote locking. Where is the Sensor located? and is there an easy way to tell wether its the key or something in the car?

now both keys start the car. But only one lights up when you press the button. still doesn't unlock the car though.

mate, i got a similar problem like this, i was driving n my lights turned off and then none of my electrics work my whole car dusnt start atall now had to wheel it to my house, RAC came out and reffered me to renault(going tomorrow) but my doors dont lock or anything my key light blinks when i press the botton but electrics arent picking it up...

i did wonder wether it was becuase the battery was disconnected for a while. The UCH did get a little wet in the flood. But its not affected anything else. If i sit in the car and press the lock button it locks.

bump is the sensor for the key inside the UCH then?

nah otherwise they wouldn't light up. ive had them apart. not a problem i can see on the pcb. well 1 lights up anyway.

i belive the pick you to be the decoder ring, i got confused with what you said. if one doesnt flash it dead, proberly needs a set of keys. do they start the car?
