Remote Start

Afternoon all,

Has anybody installed the above on their car? I'm considering it, no cheap crap instead something decent e.g. Clifford, but would I have problems insuring the car?

If it's a decent integrated remote start and security system will I have to go any further than telling the insurance company the Thatcham category it complies to, because the remote start will not be any sort of security risk? It's highly likely it'll conform to a higher category than the OEM alarm anyhow...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Just nake sure they fit a sensor on the gearbox, and it won't be thatcham approved with remote start

Even if it's an integrated Thatcham-approved system e.g. a Clifford? I thought the system on the whole had to conform to the Thatcham requirements to be stated as such?
