removal of dash trim

i have quiet badly scratched my dash bit around the gear stick so i have managed to get a replacment can some 1 please tell me how you remove the old piece that the gear stick sits on and goes all the way back down the foot well??

Remove the gear gaiter first just lift it up, then pull, theres no screws etc holding it in,

v easy to remove - pull out/disconnect the ashtray/lighter, then the tray they sit in; pull out the 'leather' gear stick surround, then there's a clip either side of the moulding (in the footwell) and a velcro square infront of the gear stick - basically, all just pulls apart
