Removal of ignition barrel

Struggling to swap the barrel over! I've removed the screw at the top and tried pressing in the 2 prolongs underneath but it won't budge! Any suggestions? Cheers

You need to have the key in it and turned to either the first or second position

Have you got the key in it while you are pushing the buttons?
It has to be in and turned (can't remember which setting) to be able to push in the buttons.

I've sorted it thanks! Didn't need to remove it in the end so wasted an hour trying to get it out haha!b

you nugget...you just swap the button part of the fob:tonguewink:

Yeah forgot about that..... Then I tried starting the car and it was dead! Forgot to put the decoder ring back on ha! Was a fiddly job took about 3 hours in total, hopefully I don't have to replace a uch again! Such a fiddly job and I don't have the slimiest of fingers for the job

Time will tell! I hope it is as I've made my mind up, if this dosent cure the problem then I'll be looking for a new car! Can't justify throwing anymore money at it!
