Remove front and rear diamonds

The front one just pulls off. Try prising it with a screwdriver wrapped in a cloth or something if it's stiff.
The rear one is bonded on into the boot lock mechanism. You'll have to disconnect and remove that and then scrape the glue off the behind of the diamond whilst it's still in place then it should just push out. It'll need bonding back on though.

Wow so the rear diamond is a big job then? Do you know of any guides on how to get the boot mechanism off? Is it a big job?
I wouldn't say a big job - I managed it so that's saying something lol.
I just undid the plastic card on the inside of the boot (one bolt near the handle and then pull hard)
Remove the metal rod from the boot mechanism (just pulls out I think)
3 bolts holding the boot mechanism on - undo them
Something like that anyway. It wasn't too challanging and fitting is just a reverse of removing. Alternatively, if you're spraying them, you could just mask up the rear of the car with newspaper and masking tape and spray it with it still in place. I have seen a few people on here do that successfully.

Its a pain, well for me anyhow (lack of patience lol). Mine was working intermitandly so im after a new one. Once the rear panel is off its only three 10mm nuts then just give it a smack and it should pop off. The diamond is glued on as above so thats a bit of a pain. Fit the new one, use some bonding glue so it doesnt push off when refitting.

Ah okay. I've got a carbon look going (no it isn't s**t) haha
so 2 want to do the badge if possible. So take the locking mechanism out then? Is that a sealed unit with a badge stuck on?

Yeah thats what's was attempting. When you undo the three nuts the top part on the boot pops off with the badge in tact. You then have to remove the silver badge and refit the carbon one. You may need a hand as the in the boot section is fidddly to stay in place.

s**t haha. Will it all fall to bits and ill be completely fucked?
I remember taking an old springer air rifle to bits once ( it was fucked ) and when I unscrewed the stock about 10 springs flew out and I couldn't ever put it back together hahaha.
When you take it off and look behind it you'll see the 4 pins holding it on which have been glued. Scrape the glue off and push the pins out with a screwdriver and the diamond will come off.

so the front diamond just comes off piss ball then? Is it just the diamond that clips in then?
