Removing bobbles from alcantera

  Monaco Blue Mk2
Whats the best way? Is there something that can shave them off? Should I just get the Mach3 on them!? lol, I don't mind what it feels like when done, as long as it looks alright.

Hi all

Just a note about care for your alcantara seats if you've got them in your 172/182 etc.

I've heard people talk, and read on this site about problems of the alcantara surface "balling" up. You know what I mean, like little threads appearing.....

I've got a 2003 plate 172 and my drivers side seat was looking a bit rough after 44k miles. The other seats are like new.

I've just had a Sweater De-fuzzer (Like the old Remington Fuzz-away?) bought for me as a birthday present to try and tackle this.

Tried it this afternoon and now my drivers seat looks just like new.

It's battery operated and costs about £10. Try eBay. Mines from the Remington shaver shop at Doncaster.

Nice....Interior as good as the exterior now. I will post some pics when I get sorted.

Just to confirm, these lint shavers work superb at removing any sort of bobbles from the alcantara. Looks 100 times better now, like new.
