Removing Compbrake Top Mounts...

Is the best thing in the world to do to your Clio.

Since owning the 172, it's had these horrible compbrake things fitted, I thought the car felt fine/great, tonight, Danny_172, TheEvilGiraffe and I changed the mounts out for standard items.

After quite some fettling, Danny and I figured out how to get them damn tight as hell, a right result, the car drives completely different, it feels so tight/responsive, so happy with how the Clio handles now, feels like I can corner at double the speed previously.

Now to get the tracking/alignment set up and my new dogbone bushes and it'll be ha'mazing.

If you've got compbrakes, I'd seriously re-consider.

Loving my AST solid top mounts over the standard items tbh, one of the best upgrades I did to the clio tbh, glad your sorted now mate!

Hated mine as well, changed for mark fish top mounts, so much better!

Going expensive wasn't an option at the moment, so brand new, full standard assembly's it was. Bloody lovely tbh, after the exhaust is on and these new bushes go on, i'll be in love with it again, big time.

I don't think the standard ones with coilies are too bad at all tbh.
