Removing engine.....

Hello,

So my clio 172 has metal shavings in the inlet manifold, im presuming a valve has gone.

Anyway ive brought another car to get me around, and dont have much money to pay to fix the renault, so its currently sat on my drive.

I am going to attempt to take the engine out/apart myself, ive taken them out on older cars before. just wondered if anyone knew of any guides or how to's around that i could use for reference.

Thanks

Not aware of a guide, I just tend to work things out as Im going along rather than have the sense to RTFM.

Easiest way though on a 172 IMHO is leave the subframe in and take it out the top with the gearbox still attached.I

Its quite a tight fit, so better if there are at least 2 of you really.
