Removing gaffa tape glue from pole windows

What's best solution, I dont want to end up scratching the hell out of my poly windows, and on that note, any products/techniques to remove swirls/light scratches?

something like pure alcohol might work

Plastx from meguiars for the swirls.

Tardis or AG Intendive Tar And Glue Remover for the residue the tape leaves. Soak it first using a paper towel.
