removing handbrake handle

hi im trying to add a richbrooke gear handle as seen in the link

but im unsure how to remove the current plastic handle- do i cut or pull it?

Spot on!

Took me a few hours and many dremel discs later....

Be carefull when cutting away, very lightly and wear eye protection !!!
(flying cutting discs)

Dont go too deep or u will cut thru the metal handle itself.

i also heard the plastic dust pieces/particles from where you cut it goes everywhere and is an absolute nightmare to get out of seats and carpets etc

hours ?? jeees didnt think it would that big a job i reakon a go with a handsaw should do it lol

it did take a couple to do! Saw was usless as the surface curves and u cannot get any sort of grip onto it.

Also u have limited space in there with seats etc...

Dremel was the best option, apart from the dust/mess/flying discs heheh

In my 1.2 dynamique I used a stanley knife and left no mess at all when fitting my isotta handbrake handle.

Cudnt cut it tho....

The plastic seemd to have been molded over the metal bar....was arite pain
