Removing head unit

Anyone know where I can buy the tool to remove my original 'tuner list' head unit from?

Or

Any Radio theives know any home made/easy ways to remove it?

Also anyone that has fitted a CD changer, how have you mounted/secured it in either your boot or under seat?

Try going into your local car audio shop and borrow theres its a two min job or failing that buy some think they are only 4 pound ish i just borrowed my dads but have a few to chose from

Thats because unless you had the OEM changer fitted the bracket won't be there. It replaces the document tray and can be had from renault for about £7. Is the best way of mounting the changer imo.

This will sound ridiculous but...document tray? Do you mean under the glove compartment? If you do, wouldn't it be on show there? Also I'd prefer it under my seat if anyone has any tips on how to mount it there?

i have just removed my optional changer and that was mounted in the boot on sticky pads with bolts poking thru the carpet mat easier to change discs there i guess

I was thinking maybe some sort of velcro strips would be just as good...velcro it to the carpet? lol

Must be a mk2 ph2 thing, its just a tray that fits under the passenger seat and fits in the place of the cd changer bracket when you don't have the changer fitted.
Not sure but I assumed it would be the same with the ph1 though it may not be, I was under the assumption they were all fitted under the passenger seat i've never seen them mounted anywhere else. But obviously they were mounted elsewhere.

Jesus guys, be inventive. Use a metal coat hanger, bend it in the shape of a U and stick it in the holes at the same time and it will pop out, if this is the standard headunit holes that is, (theifs trick)

Haha, tried that but with big paper clips before, hangers in ours are to fat at the end to fit in the holes.
