removing heater dials (mk1)

Hi
Does anyone know if you have to take the whole dash out to remove the heater dials (the ones in the middle, for changing temp, power, direction), or if they will just pull out? I want to get to the lights behind them.
Im talking about a mk1 ph3 by the way.

done it now, you have to move the bit which holds the cd player.

start with te bit where the stereo is, and everything slots down from there. watch out for little screws that you cant see holding things in place!
