Removing paint off exterior plastic's

  Trophy, Flamer, BG
Hello :)

Recently purchased a 172 which has silver exterior plastics (upper and lower grille, fog light surrounds, bullets and rear bumper strip). Seems the previous owner had a red/silver theme going on. Some parts are already peeling (lower grill and bullets) but the other bits look like they've be professionally sprayed. Either way i want it off and returned to original :dead:

My first though was to sand it all off... but would white spirit do the trick or would that also damage the plastic?

Any advice would be greatly taken :)

Blast it with an air line, you may get quite a lot of it off that way if it's not that well prepped. Try that before you go sanding things etc.
