Removing scuffs by hand?

Is it possible? Some chump at work has scrapped the TT. It had left some black plastic on the bumper which came off with some T cut and a polish bit I am left with a scuff in the lacquer which but hasn't damaged the paint luckily.

It's quite hard to pick up with a camera but it's small things like this which will annoy me. Or am I best off finding someone with a electric polisher? Like Daniel..

Is it a noticable scratch? can you feel it with your nail? from the picture that really should reduce / come out by hand no problems......with a decent compound.

Dont tell me you used SRP.......you'll need something with a bit more ballz than that......i highly recommend the Rupes compounds.....i use these by hand all the time, even after flatting and nib removal.

Localised machine polish will see the worst if not all of that come out.

It's surprising what defects can be removed with the right approach, I got rid of some nasty bird poo etching yesterday with with Scholl S30 and a finishing pad

I'd say you can feel it but not really noticeable? It's just a little rougher than the rest of the bumper. It looks like it goes over the headlight washer but that's just the reflection. It's all you can see to the right of the washer.

I've not used anything other than T cut and a bit of wax..I'm 100% positive it'd come out.

Get yourself a decent compound i suspect it wil be out within a few minutes of some hand polishing action lol.........

http://www.rupestool.com/p/us/en/0222867250392 (1500 scratch)..........i use this daily after 2000 grit nib removal, a minute or 2, by hand if that, its out or by DA

Thanks mate. Which would I need? 1500 or 2500?

Would this stuff be any good? http://www.halfords.com/motoring/cl...ecla-g3-permanent-scratch-remover-paste-150ml

I could grab some of that at lunch.

Yep that G3 Paste should also work, id use the 1500 correction myself, But just dont go OTT, its a harsh cut, if its factory paint on that bumper it will be thin, esp at the edges.
