Removing speedo sensor

On a ph2 172 ? think i have located it but i have turned it pulled it and aint moving
whats the best way to get it off as i have been driving with no speedo for months!!!

is there no holes in the gearbox casting where you can stick a screwdriver to push a clip?

On the back of the box? Just pull it and wiggle. Unless there's an 11mm bolt holding it in, but I have a feeling that's on 106's/Saxo's.. Lol.

EDIT: man up. No bolt holding it in.

done it just had to push to one side then pull

Yep, pull that heat shield right off, pulls directly away from the sensor, and then just pull the box sensor out.
