Removing spray paint?

Im looking to remove the spray paint on my upper grill (which i sprayed last year) and have a go at doing it all again. Is there a good paint remover that i can use that will give me a clean start?

Im also looking at removing the spray paint on my upper inlet and standard throttle body (which i also spray painted) to go with a different colour.

I'd go with some form of media blast as I wouldn't trust a chemical stripper on the plastics.

That was what i thought tbh. I know with the inlet i can just wet & dry and primer over it again but unsure on the plastic.

Hi powered jet wash might do it ...... But chemicals like thinners or nitro morse but have a bucket near by to wash it straight off... Just go careful and keep an eye on it all

How thick is the paint? On my old one it was on really thick so I got most of it off with a Stanley blade.

After that just keep attacking it with sandpaper, white spirit, wire brush etc.

I was going to suggest either a really powerful pressure washer, or pick it off with a blade of some sort!

I made an arse of mine the first time but luckily the power washer took most of it back off

Power wash with a burner and variable power just be careful I used the one Iv got for work to get the black paint off my loft clios diamond worked a treat and went back to chrome

I would try wire wool and white spirits, possibly paint thinners but test first if it reacts with the plastic.

Snap! The one at my work is the most powerfull one ive ever seen, and litrally takes paint off! Haha

If the upper grill was initially prepped properly prior to spraying (keyed and cleaned) and the current paint is sound then I'd just give the paint the once over with wet'n'dry or something like wire wool or an abrasive pad ( which would probably be easier to get to all the ins'n'outs) to key the surface again and then clean it down well before hitting it with the new paint. Any kind of chemical remover is likely to f*ck the plastics...
