Removing tar..help

Hi all ive been told ive got the job of washing and polishing the girlfriends mazda RX8 this coming weekend, when inspecting the car tonight it seems theres a fair few tar spots along the door sills,aparently its never been polished or waxed since new (just washed) and its now 2 years old whats the best product to use to remove this? megs bug/tar? or try and clay it off?

Remember this product will strip any sealant/wax from yr bodywork, so its important to get a coat back on to protect the paintwork again.
