Removing the PAS fluid but keeping the Rack & pump

What i want to know is if i remove the PAS piping and fluid with the Pump and the Steering Rack still be ok.

With no Lube with they sh*t them selfs and seize?

I will be getting a proper manual rack and removing the pump soon but not just yet.

Hope somone can shed some light :)

it wasn't seized "yet" but was totally ruined when i spin it now its proper knotchy and noisy. the pas fluid was totally congealed and rancid.

if you could rig up the pipes so they feed back into each other should be alright then.

why do you need to remove them, can't it wait till you get the brackets and new rack

also what brackets you using? cup or full fat?

Lol, ok i will just wait, i'm hopefully going to set up a group buy on the Pure-Motorsport Lightweight Pully, AC & PAS delete Kit. As i'm tidying up my engine bay atm i thought it i could just remove the pipes and stuff so i can clean around it and stuff. But i'll just wait and do it all at once :)
