Renault blueblue 182 cup

New to the forum so thought I'd add some pictures of my 2005 renault blue 182 cup. I brought the car March 2016 and have slowly been tidying it up. Here's the day I got it;

first thing i did was removed all the window tints and touch up the scuff on the front bumper. I gave it a service then didn't do much else to car for a few months and just enjoyed it but in August the car started revving on its own and idling lumpy then it went into limp a couple times on me, i changed the throttle body and throttle pedal and its been fine since. The mot was out around this time and it failed as there was blow on the exhaust, the washer pump didn't work and the rear fog light was coming on when the brakes were pressed, this was all sorted but there was advisories for the front headlights being cloudy and the front tyres being near the legal limit. I changed the tyres in November and restored the headlights a couple moths ago so hoping this year it pass with no advisories, fingers crossed!

Here's a load of pics took in May after giving it a good clean

Since then I've fitted some polybush rear exhaust mounts as the old ones were worn and had to have some welding done on the back box as the hangers had started to break away, i had the engine and gearbox oil changed too but there was leak coming from the n/s drive shaft seal so this replaced.

The next job I've been doing is painting all the faded black plastic on the car satin black and I've fitted front fogs, the only things left to paint is wing mirrors and the rear wiper area i also have some centre caps with the Renault logo on that were 3d printed to paint and fit that someone on the cliosport owners group on Facebook makes.

That looks ace, much better with out the tints

What did you use to spray the plastics? I keep topping up with solution finish but it's an ass tbh

Thanks man looking forward to fitting the centre caps as hate the speedine ones! Going to fit some standard number plates as well the pressed ones look tacky in my opinion

I just keyed the bits up used a rattle can plastic primmer and rattle can satin black

It just means that it's had a front end paint at some point. No big deal but with the stickers on it's defo better to not spot.

I want my underside of my bonnet like yours. I took the mat away a little bit to have a look and typical Renault, they've only painted half of it!

The bumper needs painting really there's quite a few stone chips and a crack at the bottom. I take it you have a ff then?

Recently cleaned the front seat belts and changed the number plates for standard ones also had a new cv boot, horn and small hole welded on the exhaust for mot so is now sorted for another 12 months
