Renault c***s! Car at Dealer and not allowed to get it!

Im just *arrrrrrrrrgh!!!*

Dealer called me that my AB 200 has just arrived, i was jumpin around in happiness till he told me that im not allowed to fetch it for 1 month! WTF!?

Its bought as a "Demo" Car for the price reduction (ordered new in August), but gets actually not used as one, and just now the Dealers got Order that those Cars have to be Registered to the Dealer for at least one Month till theyre allowed to sell it... im shocked!

My Baby is there and i cant get it! Bitches!
 
Pay the full price and go pick it up then, if you want it for a reduced price then be patient. I had to wait 2 and half months for a car once, But I got it for £10,900 instead of £16,000
 
Its the same n England. Renault aren't allowed to sell a pre registered car unless its 3 months old.

They do though, so its a bit of a bullshit rule imo.
 
Well, its anyway f**king expensive because they dont give you any reduction here, people have to much money in general :(

Hold on, you've paid full list price for a pre-reg car, but they won't let you collect collect it ?
 
Something doesn't add up here. You paid RRP, yet it's preregistered? If a car's preregistered then it is second hand, so you pay second hand prices?

Well, sorry, probably because of my english..

I ordered a new car, and to et reduction they marked it on the contract as a Demo Car. Because thats an official thing and you get 1000 CHF benefit on the new price. So its not a Price reduction in the usual way like "10 Percent because we want to sell somerhing" So List Price minus this Demo Car thing. So i ordered new, they got it delivered today but they cant give it to me till this 1 Month is over (they wont use the Car tho, just standing there)

Better!?
 
Ok - so you saved 1k on it by having it as pre-registered. So you did save some money.

You'll live. If I could save myself a grand by waiting a month I would do...
 
The only thing im pissed about is that nobody told me that i have to wait one month after its delivered, the seller didnt say anything, and now sais he didnt knew about it...

thats the point.

And 1k Swiss Franks is not a english grand :P
 
No, it's a Grand in swiss francs.

I'd also wager that you don't pay anything like we do in tax on it...
 
So the car isnt technically new as you are the 2nd registered owner!? I think id rather pay full whack to be honest if i was to buy a new car at all that is.
 
Well, at first they said they could register it to the company and then to myself in one walk to the office. So i would have had it instantly... But well, now im fucked. Probably i should stop the Mr. Niceguy stuff and kick verbally their ass to see whats happening then...

What you mena with the taxes? If you think the Car is cheaper here your just wrong ;)
 
Hmm Dunno, lets make a calc, i paid 36k for mine (without the 1k demo minus) thats in GBP at actual rate 21,5k £. Tax in Bern is weight dependend, which is about 350 CHF (205 £) a year.

Insurance well, that depends on many factors so it would be senseless to compare that ;)

Servicing Costs... no idea how the difference is there,

Gas? its about 1.65 CHF (1£) per litre which makes 4.5 £ per Gallon.

What else to compare here!?
 
Well, when its about arguing about prices i really do suck tbh. In Germany you get awesome reducings and additional stuff for free at the moment, not in Switzerland... But Fuel in Germany is much more expensive, Switzerland has the cheapest Fuel so far i believe because they are not bound to the European Fuel Price Law.

But well, this Thread was not intended to be about whing because of Prices, it is how it is. Fact is, my Car is there and not at my place. c***s. :P
 
Switzerland aint cheap AND they speak about 3 languages and uses about 3 currencies. Madness, and not as beautiful as I'd imagined, still lovely tho....

P.S. Get your girlfriend to go round with cakes and lip salve, BJs all round should sort things.

If somethings sold as a demo then this is pretty standard practice, not just for cars
 
Well, they DONT have 3 Currencies, its just Swiss Francs ;)
It is very beautiful tbh.

But dont think im defending it, im not liking it really too. But hey, you have to do what you have to do to get on in Life ;)

Well, they just didnt mentioned it before and the Dealer said that this 1 Month order just came out for them. so well... have to accept it.
 
With those Currencies that has to be long time ago then, just like they accepted different currencies in the border regions. Actually it is just CHF and sometimes accepted Euros.

In Wikipedia you can check if you dont believe me ;)

And yes, i just said that Chris =)
