Renault Clio 1.2 moving off issues

Hi hope someone can help with this,

I bought a Clio 1.2 2000 2-days ago & all was fine

But today when I started the car & went to move off the car just stalled, after numerous try's at going still nothing, the only thing that I can notice is that the car will move off when have the clutch just above biting point but soon as my foot comes off the clutch it tries to stall, if I'm quick I can get up to third where it stops trying to stall but is really slow,

Only normal thing is that it can reverse no problem at all

Any help would be great
