**Renault Complaint Procedure**

Just got the car back after yet another niggling fault.

I sent a letter of complaint to the dealers I use (Renault altrincham). I use this garage as they are nearer to me. They have told me to re-direct my letter to the original dealer I bought my car from?!

How can this be right? The car is a full uk car and was bought from Renault Bolton (14 miles apart) 2 years ago, Ive never been back since. How can they be expected to deal with my complaint?

I would really appreciate everyones thoughts, are they just fobbing me off or is this the way Renault work?

Souns like madness to me?

Sounds like madness to me as well, Id be tempted to redirect the letter to Renault UK themselves.

Ive been through all this, i wrote a letter and even phoned head office to complain about a dealer, and all they do is refer it back to the branch who you have the problem with...

standard letter youll get back is the "were taking all your comments on board, currently addressing this issue through re-training, blah, blah, blah."

Just tell them that you will write to the Watchdog legal department at Auto Express or your local Trading Standards as the car should be fit for the purpose for which you bought it (or something like that).

Surely Renault is Renault ,which ever dealer it came from! A Renault Warranty is surely that! The cars come with a manufacturers warranty NOT a dealer warranty!!

my thoughts exactly, i could understand if it were imported or whatever but its not?

any Reno employees care to comment? wats the deal?

No they come with 1 year manufacturers warranty.

The other two years are clearly stated as dealer warranty.

Read the warranty form. i would imagine its the supplier.

I dont have it to hand.

he never replies or acknowledges these threads unfortunately.

worst bit is i sent a complaint letter to reno alty who just ignored it, didnt even write back, then they just say "oh yeah, u need to send it to another reno".

its a disgrace, if my company treated our customers like this wed get FLAMED. Reno are arrigant and seem to think theyre above it.... so annoying.

paddymph, if its only renault altrincham that have been fixing ur car then they should sort it out, if they wont try the dealer u bought it off , but i would have thought that they would sort it out at the end of the day ur a customer they have been dealing with, and (supposedly) sorting ur car out. but best bet is to complain to renault uk!

i wouldnt say this is the case , unfortantly we do get the odd staff who are not the greatest with dealing with customers, but from my point of view we all try to help get customers cars sorted out, watever the problem etc etc , but i work for a different renault garage , never been to the above mentioned!

anyway the garage that has been dealing with ur car should sort it if not contact renault uk, btw are there garages reg vardy renaults?

Im sure you can take it to any UK dealer in the 2nd and 3rd year 99.9%

At work we do warranty work in the 2nd and 3rd year it doesnt matter where the car came from, Renault still pay most of the costs anyway.

If you had to take it to the dealer where it came from it would be unworkable for the customers what if the car had been sold after a year and came from scotland, but you live in the south, Renault could not expect you to travel all the way to scotland to get it fixed.

Im 100% now

Sounds to me your being fobbed off as they cant sort it!

Already forwarded the original letter + ANOTHER letter to the head of customer services @ Reno UK.

theyll prob ignore this one too, if they do im gonna fook them right over....

dont get me started on this mate!!!

I had eb=nough with the dci!!

but I have had the 172 only 4 weeks and its problem after another!!!!


first no xenons then suspension falling out!!

i understand that u get problems but it looks like im just being fobbed off, i mean, like someone said what if u bought your car from a dealers 300 miles away?!

its crazy and just so, so typical of the crap Ive had for the past 2 years!

Definately being fobbed off, how could someone with an import take it back to original dealer for warranty work!!!! W**kers
