Renault F**k me in the ass!

For Sale 03 Cup 1700 miles one really pissed off owner. Unique paint work, French build quality, 3 years Warranty (you will need it).... £12000 (I wish).

I volunteer Reg Vardy Renault, Ecclesall Rd, Sheffield as being useless, incompetant cretins who I will never take my car to again. Sirs, I salute you (with my middle finger, of course).

Rhys

So far Chesterfield and Sheffield are out of the question and ive had such a bad experince with Nottingham dont want to go back there. So where is left in my area? Sometimes based in Sheffield any dealerships in Rotheram or Doncaster?

lol reg vardy lol reg vardy what a bunch of cowboys there are, there head office is about 30mile away from where i live ALL there dealer ships no matter what make of car are c**p. My brother got a mini copper a few years back now (when the German where in charge) and there where so may problems with it, it was back and forth from the garage, in the end he was told that hed put to many miles on the car and there couldnt do anything because it was general where and tear, so trading standers got involved and before they threatened with full legal action he got his money back and that took just over a year. Id rather walk then get a car from reg vardy

Bought a Clio 1.4 16v from Vardys. They were useless.

Took my 172 MK2 there. They were worse than useless. Usual cataloge of bad customer care that I had come to expect (see insane parking attendant who you have to give your life story to before being allowed to park, getting charged £15 to have a wheel removed, left waiting for 3 BLOODY HOURS for my key fob to be recoded, only to be asked why I was still waiting and that it had been done 30 mins after i arrived....etc...etc....)

Offered my 172 MK2 in part ex for another car when I sold it. Gave me a really bad offer so I walked. They spent the next 4 MONTHS phoning me up and hassling me about did I want to do a deal. Nothing could stop them from calling until in the end I had to screen all my calls. Useless.

Bought a Williams, needed a wheel bearing. Quoted nearly £200 to change a bearing by Vardys. Had it done elsewhere for £75 (at a brand name, fairly expensive garage).

Quoted nearly £300 for a minor service on a Williams. Are they insane? Its just oil, filters and a general check around/adjustments, FFS!

Now Ive got my 172 MK1 as well as the Williams, and it is not going anywhere near a Renault dealership. They need to get their house in order. Everyone who owns a newish Renault that I know (and that others know) think Vardys are hopeless. I might drive Reanults, but I wont waste my time and money on Renault dealerships. If they want me to pay that sort of money for parts and labour, I insist on good quality customer care.

Oops, ranting again.

MMMMMMMMMMMM COMMENTS NOTED !!

GOES TO HIDE WITH SADDAM !! LET ME KNOW WHEN THIS WAR IS OVER !!

Id only take my car back to a main dealer as long as it still under warrenty as soon as my warrenty runs out my mates garage is doing any work on my car.

I think weve all been truly f**ked up the ass by renault, after getting f**king terrible service from my local renault garge i had a full go at em and then sent a nasty lettter to the head of customer relations at renault uk...

The reply from them went some thing like this :

WE DONT CARE, TAKE IT UP WITH YOUR DEALER!!!

well thanks a bunch u w***er!! Sent the same letter back to him and told him to "read it again" before replying to it! HA HA :devilish:

Leigh, I know its not all of them, but the bad apples need to be routed out and hunted down to the ends of the earth and then be made to drive the Clio-with-a-boot for all eternity. The good dealerships can stay :D

Calm down guys, its not just Renault dealers although they are the masters of disaster.

My mate has just been round to ask me to have a listen to his Impreza Turbo. It went in for a full service today with nothing wrong, and came back with something binding in the engine and something grinding in 2nd gear. Looks like the garage are going to have to come and collect it with a trailer tomorrow!!

Im worried that when mine goes in next week it will come back as a Reliant Robin!!!:p

We need a name and shame section, as I want to name and shame Camden Renault in Northampton as the biggest bunch of tos*ers I have ever dealt with. They took 4 weeks to service a friends 02 clio 1.6 and do some minor warranty work (front washer ball). They never gave them a courtesy car, nor valeted the car, just set an airbag off and charged over £200 for the service.

I had mine serviced there not long ago and was charged £210, and was treated like dirt. Never going to them again.

I love the car but hate the dealers.
yeah i went in there first to ask them about a Cup. The monkey was trying to tell me that they had ABS etc. I told him they didnt and some other specs that he said i had wrong. App they sell themselves cuz of the competitive price! Well he certainly didnt try to sell me one so i went to Richard Sanders in Kettering.

They kept me guessing as to when my car was arriving, the bloke i was dealing with went on holiday (he actually worked in the Rover part of the garage) and the Ren guys started getting twitchy when i hadnt paid them the rest of the money. Id never been contacted by the head sales guy like the bloke had asked him too.

I’ll nominate Renault Wolverhampton, they didn’t give me a courtesy car for the whole 6 weeks they had my 172 when they were putting a new engine and box in it.

remember this is not renaults attitude - its a renault franchise - ring the renault uk customer helpline - they are very good.

Nothing to stop you taking it to your good garage now, contrary to what dealers say [THEY WOULD WOULDNT THEY IF THEY ARE LOSING CUSTOMERS] just as long as the garage uses genuine Renault parts like filters etc.

You have to be careful GR. The manufacturors warrenty is dependent on you using renault parts i.e yr1, Yrs 2+3 are dependent on you getting it serviced at a renault dealer- the dealer warrranty. If you dont get it serviced by a main dealer then you will loose yrs 2+3.

Just to make us all feel worse. The Subaru dealer have just collected his car on a trailer and left him a courtesy Ka. If that had been Renault there would have been a 5 week wait, and the usual, "we only serviced it sir, the fault must be a coincidence".
