Bloody ABS sensor in my car has broken again. Only 8 months after i got it repaired last time. Aswell as creaking steering wheel and rattling trim.

Absolute shite. Only renault i would own again would be a 182 simply because i have always wanted one since joining this site and it would be worthwhile it having problems because it is a car i would love driving unlike my 1.2 16v

Not a good way to end a friday.

Its still under warranty. Not the point, i dont expect things to be fixed then break again only 8 months later. Not good enough imo.

What worris me is my mum and dad had 3 puntos 1 mk1 1mk2 and 1mk2b all from new for 3 years and didnt have a problem atall. Dad has had a fiesta zetec from new (2005) not a problem, no rattling trim etc.

My 2005 clio has had 2 problems in the time i've had it (11 months) of which it took 4 goes for renault to find the problem of the abs sensor.

Rattling trim, noise on the steering which my gf's mums dynamique had too.

Not good enought atall tbh.

Only renault i'd buy again is a renaultsport

If you don't like it, sell it.

No point moaning about it. My trim rattles all the time, turn your music up so you can't hear it.

All car manufacturers are the same these days, I know people who've had new Beemers/Mercs/Jags that have had niggly faults and stuff. They're all trying to cut costs, and the offset of that is that quality suffers.

Although, I had a 54reg 206 XSi from new for 3 years, and it never had one single fault or issue.

  • The day I picked up my Clio I got it home and then couldn't get in it again because the alarm went off every time I opened the door,
  • I now have oil all over my engine bay because of a broken seal,
  • One of my front shocks has started leaking,
  • The central locking stopped working during my first week of ownership,
  • the sunroof squeaks,
  • the cigarette lighter doesn't have any power so I can't use my sat nav (although it does stop my bro from having a sneaky cig, thank God),
  • and of course the obligatory rattles and squeaks.
and they're only the things I've found in the first two weeks and I'm sure there are others, too. It's all part of the fun, although I can understand your point of view as well. :)

Ah I see your point, probably could've worded my original post a bit better! It's a T reg, so just turned 9. It was like new when I bought it and I'm sticking with my story.
