Hello everyone, i'll need a reliable garage to carry out a cambelt change soon. I am in the west mids/staffs area, does anynoe recommend anyone?

Hi, just thought i'd make a comment as i have spent many an hour this past week looking for the same thing, if you don't want to travel to Yozza sport or Hill power (who are both excellent btw!). Here are my findings.

I'll be getting mine done at http://www.carcareservices.co.uk/

They are based in Halesowen and have a really good local reputation and experience with the clio sport, especially the 172 and have done cam changes before, email them for a quote, you will find their prices very reasonable.

Another alternative based in Wolverhampton is four ashes (formally cliospares) http://www.fourashesrenault.co.uk/ who also have a good reputation and lots of experience, you will be looking at circa £350 for the cam change.

There is Specialised Renault Services in Nuneaton and RJ Autos in Hinckley.
I would go to Hillpower myself.

They have just quoted me £39.95 inc parts, labour and vat for an aux belt change

auxillary belt is 36 quid if its a genuine renault part and i was quoted 1 and a half hours labour

if ur in staffordshire go to yozzasport(they knwo there clios), wouldnt bother anywhere else tbh, ive had 24k and mate had 36k there no problems, i personally would take it to some1 who knows clio's rather than renault in general, so if there is anything else wrong they can sort it out for you
